ABOUT -- ASK THE DECK
==============================================================
A three-card tarot reading, drawn live and read against the
real sky overhead. Pick "Draw three cards" and the deck
shuffles and deals three -- no question to type. Each card is
read in its position; the reading interprets the cards and the
sky.
THE SPREAD
Position 1 -- Current State
What is actually happening in your life right now -- the
texture of the present, not where you came from or what you
want.
Position 2 -- Focus for Growth
Where your attention should land in the coming days. The work
in front of you -- a verb, not a destination.
Position 3 -- Potential in 7 Days
A quality of energy that could open within the week IF you
engage with the second card -- an atmosphere or invitation,
never a guaranteed outcome.
THE SKY
Every reading is anchored to the live cosmic weather computed
from the server clock: the current moon phase and moon sign,
the zodiac season, and the planetary day. The moon's light
colours how the work of the middle card will feel; the season
is the broad terrain.
THE ETHIC -- NO AMBIENT METADATA
A gopher server can see more about a visitor than a reading
has any right to use. So we don't. The interpretation is built
from exactly two things: the three cards you drew and the sky.
The prompt is a fixed template -- not even the text you typed
reaches it (that only shuffles the deck). Your IP, hostname,
port, the path you came in on, your client software, your
location, and the wall-clock time are NEVER part of the reading
-- not shown to it, not hinted at, not laundered in. This is
enforced by a test that fails the build if any of them could
reach the interpreter.
No accounts. No cookies. No saved history. No tracking. The
reading is the reading.
SHARING + SAVING
Every reading gets a permalink (gopher://.../0/r/<id>.txt)
printed at the bottom. Bookmark it in your client to keep a
reading, or pass it to someone else. The stored copy omits the
text you typed, so a link never reveals it. There are no
server-side profiles -- your bookmarks are your history.
